Lambing preparation!

Hopefully you will all be pretty much ready for lambing if you haven't already started. If you are unlucky enough to have to bring a ewe into the surgery for a lambing, don't forget to bring a bucket for the lambs to go home in!

Below is a list of items to remember to pick up if you haven't got them already:

Gloves (long and short)

Lubricant gel

Strong iodine to disinfect navels

Lamb feeding tubes and bottles

Colostrum substitute

Prolapse harnesses

Penicillin for ewes after a lambing intervention, or mastitis

Anti-inflammatory for ewes after a hard lambing or infection

Lamb products to prevent watery mouth if necessary

e.g. Spectam Scour-halt
